I was writing a story in Word 2007. I closed it in the evening, and the next morning it wouldn't open—the file was corrupted. I used this program to recover 50 pages out of 80. It's sad. I'm not thrilled with the program at all.

So what happened was that I was downloading files from my drive and deleting them so I would have more storage space. I downloaded the folder "2022" and after it was downloaded in my computer I proceeded to delete it in drive (also from the trash bin). When I tried to open the folder in my computer it said that it was damaged, and I had no way of retrieving the folder since I had already deleted it from the original source.

I am unable to see with certainty what caused the damage of my .pst file. In my case, this file was my mail archive and was some 5 GB heavy. I did move this file manually from its original location to my Internxt folder. After realising that Outlook does not accept storage of such files in the cloud I again moved it to the original place where it was no more recognised by Outlook.
The recovery resulted in most of the files being returned to their original status. However, a great number of files have not.

Repairing a damaged PST file. I was able to recover most of my emails.

Apparently it was this file that prevented the decompression. Conversion: OST 20GB to PST 23GB. Windows 11 64-bit Outlook 64-bit, everything worked perfectly. Took about 90 minutes.

We just got a new computer and were using a very old version of Outlook for email. When we switched over, the new computer didn't run the old version. We had already wiped the old one before we realized all the email addresses were lost. we needed to recover all the email addresses from the outdated version of Outlook.

Honestly I don't know what happened I took some files and I RARred them up burn them on CD had them laying around for a while they work perfectly I think what happened to make them corrupt is I took a bunch of CDs with data that I wanted to keep secure and I vacuum sealed them just recently I took them out to reclaim the information only to my dismay that they are corrupt I don't know about the others 'cause I need a software to work on a 32 bit computer and I'm running 64 I'm guessing in the vacuum process it's squished the CDs so close to each other perhaps it damaged him somehow but I can't see that happening how much flex would there be

The working Excel file that I work with every day turned out to be damaged in the morning, I downloaded it through the online program Recovery Toolbox, paid, the file opened but there was no necessary information. So, the program is not ideal.

The files were stored in an ISCSI LUN volume on a Synology NAS RAID-6, connected as a volume to a Windows Server. The LUN on the Synology was deleted and then a new LUN was created. The RAID-6 drives were sent for Data Recovery Toolbox.

I use a NAS drive for synchronization between the desktop and the laptop. The NAS keeps 30 versions and then deletes the oldest. While working on the laptop the last good one was overwritten with more than 30 incomplete files. Because of this I could no longer access my administration because the MDF (administration) file was corrupt.

Thanks to Recovery Toolbox I was able to read out the data, use the last good backup and, together with my own software, re-enter it into the administration.

Lesson learned??

Use a NAS for critical files as little as possible. If you do, pause the sync and wait to shut down the computer until the files have been safely synced to the NAS.

Files in flash drive corrupted overnight. This partially worked. I recovered about 1/4 of my slides unformatted and out of order but it’s better than having to start from scratch.

Had my agenda only in the ost, so not synched to the webmail. After making a new profile my agenda items were gone. Used the Recovery tool for Outlook to restore the items to a PST from a backup of the old OST files. And then copied them back to my agenda.
This worked well although only the agenda item are restored, not the attachments and extra information field.

Sometimes, approximately once a month, after saving to a flash drive, the xlsx file cannot be read on another PC. We have changed the flash drive and USB ports several times, but the cause cannot be determined. Probably the Windows+MsOffice OS fails to write.

This is a very tragic story that I cannot understand. I am very sad.

Saved 500 images as rar file and stored in cloud. Download to another computer away from home and WinRar said file was corrupted and could not repair. Recovery toolbox managed to recover almost all of them. Money well spent.

I use Microsoft Outlook and, for unkown reasons, I could not export my OST file as PST file.
Windows ceased to work properly and I had to restore it. It went well but I lost all the applications that were not a part of Windows, such as Microsoft Office.
I installed Microsoft Office again but Outlook can't open an OST file. Thus I had to use Recovery Tollbox to convert it to a PST file.
Everything went well and I recovered my old emails and my contacts.

After a crash of the computer due to some upgrades, I had to reset but keeping my data. Unfortunately all my archived e-mails after a certain date last year were lost. I tried all kind of solutions with a limited success, including another recovery tool. Accidently I found Recovery Toolbox and it showed up that with this product all my e-mails were recovered and put nicely into the xxx.pst file as it was before the crash.

Scenario: large Excel file not saved elsewhere and costing hours of work. The file becomes damaged for unknown reasons. After trying a few manual systems to no avail, I tried RecoveryToolbox and since the data seemed to be read correctly, after 10 minutes I purchased it. Great software that worked very well in my case.

I don't know how the files I downloaded became corrupted. I have never had this problem before from the site. The files are big so it takes a while to d/l. I was happy to find this app among others because it offered a demo example to try it out. I'm not sure if it gets faster on smaller files but this app takes hours to analyze the folder I wanted to recover, in this case 12gb. It took the app over 7 hours to scan this folder and correct the files which is stored in the app but you cannot access unless you purchase the full software version. Once installed and it's registered, the program requires a reboot, After this restart you loose the recovered data which totally pissed me off because I had to do it all over again. I spent 2 days on this program tool before I was able to use the recovered data. Yes it works a treat but it takes ages to process during this time I had to turn my laptop on 3 times as it would switch off after a period of non use. Is it a scam, you decide. I think the seller should tells up front about these flaws and not leave so we find out for ourselves. I wouldn't recommend it on the time it takes and the demo isn't really one when you loose the data and it's not a good relationship if your forcing customers to buy it without knowing that it works. It's only reviews like this that will help decide whether this recovery tool is right for you. I hope this review is honest enough to help you out. Happy times.😆

The zip file was damaged and I don't know why. It has been already recovered, but the problem was that, after testing it with your demo, I bought the license and after register the software with your license, it was required to reboot the software, so I had to start again the recovery. As a computer's technical and advisor, I'm user of a lot of software for several works and always use a demo before purchasing the license (if it looks that works, of course), and from the demos version, after registering the license, it is not required to reboot the software, so I can continue with the data recovery (or whatever it needed) without loosing the time invested in checking the software. In your case, I had to start again the recovery, so it means that I lost a lot of time because of the need of restart your software after registering the purchased license. So I guess that it would be interesting change this behavior of your software after buying the license in demo cases.

I need to convert a large .ost file to a .pst file to set up a new laptop. Recovery Toolbox worked very well and relatively quickly.

My story isn't so much about a damaged file as it is about switching an email account from IMAP to POP, which changed the data file from .ost to .pst. I needed to get the data out of the OST without being able to change the email account back to an IMAP and back up the data. I found the recovery tool box and was able to extract all of the data from the OST and save it as a PST data file. I was then able to point the POP email account to the new PST file and all of the data was recovered.
I was skeptical at first but the Recovery Toolbox did as it said it would, and is easy to use. While I didn't have damaged files to recover, I have no doubt should I need it, I can get the data.

My Outlook PST files (30+GB) were still accessible but running off a hard-drive that had started to fail with bad sectors. I was unable to clone the drive or copy the PST files to a new location. Recovery toolbox was able to rebuild my data files as a new data file on a replacement drive location and continue to use my mail file after the recovery process. Tried many other recommended solutions but none were able to help with the recovery apart from the recovery toolbox for outlook.

Two Windows workstations were logged in to a small but critical Access database, one using Office 2007 and the other Office 365 local. There was a power outage and UPSs died before PCs could be logged out properly. After power was restored none of the tools provided by Microsoft could recover the corrupted accdb file. Thankfully RT got everything back, and UPSs all have nice fresh batteries now.

When changing my ISP to gmail I created a new ost file leaving an orphaned ost with past information which i wanted. Recovery Tollbox allowed me to convert and then retrive this

I currently use toolbox for rar with 7z archive. Everything else offers either standard data recovery (doesn't work) or password cracking (not necessary). With this software at least progress is being made, but very slowly. The 6.6gb archive has been restored for almost 2 weeks and only 16 files have been found. It would be great to know what these files are, at least by name or extension, so as not to wait a millennium while scanning is going on

Files weren't corrupted. My client had taken over a system where the M465 email had been closed and the only access to past emails was from the local OST file on one system. Outlook reported it couldn't connect to the exchange server but the 11GB OSt file was still there. By using Recovery toolbox, we were able to create a PST file and have all the legacy emails secured and available.

I really appreciate your app because it solved my problem. I just had to convert the OST file.

My Outlook.pst became corrupted. Why? I have no freaking idea! This has happened several times and the hassle to get it back was time consuming and worrisome because I thought I lost all my contacts and calendar. In using Recovery Toolbox for Outlook, I have all my mail files on my C drive but I have my Outlook.pst file on my Google drive. I think that was the problem. So what I did was use Recovery Toolbox to fix my Outlook.pst file, move it to the subdirectory where the mail files are and it worked. I am so grateful and the price is excellent!!!

I accidentally erased 3 months of Inbox email by clicking on the "Empty Folder" button. As part of my PC management, I backup my C Drive incrementally every night and that includes the OST and PST Outlook files. The backup copy of the PST file was missing 3 months of emails while the OST still had them but inaccessible. So, your program converted the OST to a new PST and I could recover the lost emails. My Outlook .OST file "lost" 99% of my Inbox, although subfolders were fine. There was a "restore point' created just before the issue so I think O365 made a mess of an upgrade. Outlook could "open" the (much larger) restored file but promptly deleted the same files :( Recovery Toolbox was able to convert the back-up of the OST file to a .PST file which I could attach and extract the missing emails :) Great job, great software, saved my mail!

My hosted Exchange mailbox got corrupted by moving too many mails too fast in the local Outlook. Toolbox was able to restore the missing items from the daily backup ost.
Some manual work needed to move the recovered items from the new substructure to the original (in my case less than 100 at the time, then wait for the folder to synchronize)

No file was damaged but without your toolbox it was not possible to convert the (huge) ost file into a pst file.

With outlook was imposible to convert my ost file to pst, but with this program can recovery my files but the problem my files are not in the same structure

Excellent program I recovered 42 GB of information from an Outlook pst file, the only bad thing maybe that the antivirus programs recognize it as an attack and I had to uninstall the program once I rescued the information because it creates an uncertainty for the software, but from there on it is an excellent program.

I had DVD's with very important family memories, due to the irreparable damage that some of these discs had, they could no longer be played in any player, and although I looked for recovery programs, none of them worked for me. I had a large ost file of about 20GB on an imap account that no longer existed. I needed the data converted to pst format. Tried various exports of the data using Outlook but they all failed. The recovery tool converted the entire file to a pst with no loss of data. Exactly what I needed.

It is a file in an old format and thanks to this application I was able to recover it.

I had Docker Desktop installed and one day it wouldn't start. The files could still be accessed, but no guide online would work to restore the database files. Installed a local server with the same version, ran various MySQL commands, etc... nothing. I found several other much more expensive recovery tools, but their price point was too high. I then found Toolbox for MySQL, and it was within my budget. The files were successfully exported to SQL files and preserved all the data. I couldn't be happier.

Hello. I use Windows11 and OneDrive on an ASUS Zenbook. For some reason, there is the occasional time when I cannot 'wake up' the computer by clicking the mouse or pressing ctlr+alt+delete. In those instances I have to hold down the power button for a few seconds to reboot the computer. On one of those occasions, I had a PowerPoint file open with autosave turned off. The file contained images, one video, text, and several animations. It was after my computer had restarted (because of not being able to be woken up) that the file was not able to be opened with a message prompt of something to the affect of being damaged. I clicked on 'repair' which did not solve the problem. It's hard to say what the key contributing factors were to the file becoming damaged.

There was no damage on the source file. What I wanted to do was only to recover an old email-account which only could be found as an 'ost-file' and therefore it has to be converted into a PST-file.

I was running a MS access file directly from dropbox this worked for several years, it was setup so every time the DB was updated dropbox backed the DB up. Last week the DB became corrupted and no recovery tool could repair it, I tried them all belive me. I lost 12 days of data as I was able to use a older file. I have now changed and tested the DB. It now gets backed up once a day and runs from my PC rather than dropbox. This is working a lot better and use idrive for the backup which has a free 10gb option. So the worst that will now happen is I loose one day of data.

One Outlook PST file repeatedly asked for password but didn't accept the password that I typed. I hadn't forgotten the pw and I absolutely know that I was typing it correctly. I tried the MS pst repair tool and some other free tools and then some that do a "teaser" recovery of a few items per folder. This tool recovered the content of the pst. The downside is that it didn't actually recreate the pst, it just recovered the content. The folders were recovered but not the folder structure, nor were the calendar entries recovered correctly particularly those with recurrences. To be honest, I am just grateful to have all the data back available to me and there appears to be nothing missing. Thank you for an excellent 99% product.

Hi All , I was having some old CD and DVDs with various family functions. But these cd/dvd s were in very bad shape and was not readable through normal programs on windows. So I tired this software and this is amazing. I was able to recover my old cd/dvds.

My grandfather had a cherished DVD of family footage that suffered a bad sector. All of the other software I tried errored out with no explanation, but with Recovery Toolbox I was able to dump the disks contents (which did take quite a while, around 3-4 hours) but After the dump I was able to play thru the entire disk in VLC with no issues. Great piece of tool that is definitely worth a try.

I needed to repair a 'documents' disk which I had saved on my PC and want to open on my laptop. The programme would not find the disk and then open it. It did work on another disk, which did not need to be repaired. I tried three times to download the programme
before I could get it to register its presence.

i do not think the files were danaged at all. What happened was that the CPU fan diedm which overheated the CPU and the motherboard. The hard drives and data were not damaged.

What I *think* the isssue is that the colattion is incorrect and therefore cannot be read. The data is there, your app shows the directory and a lot of the data in the preview and through partial resporation, but likely doesn't understand the mixed collations and crashes becuase your app changes the collation to 1 standard before trying to import it. I am not a programmer at all, so I cannot be more specific, but this is what other programmers are telling me.

We decided to license Recovery Toolbox software for converting .OST to .PST files from some officers who have retired from Microsoft 365 licensing.

Additionally, it allowed us to recover PST files that could not be opened and used from Outlook.

Hi, I lost SENT ITEMS folder from my Outlook 2016 Inbox, it appears that I did something wrong with my mobile Outlook Client (Android) that made this happen, so synchronization ocurred with my Godaddy e-mail hosting and SENT ITEMS were fully deleted from my Outlook Laptop Client.

I tried to recover these emails from my Laptop computer, but recovery was only partial, some of them were successfully recovered, others not... I recovered only about 20% of the emails.

my partition was deleted by accident. Most of our recovered files are damaged and corrupted.

We had to recover an "ost" file from a computer in which the email address had been deleted to be used when the email address installed again. We found a problem after using your software; Recovery toolbox didn´t retrieve all the components automatically. For instance, the sending emails were not included in the pst file when we tried to used it. We had to choice the option "guardar los datos de forma separada" and do a copy-paste for each element.

Several months ago, I moved a OneNote notebook offline to my desktop and then Compressed it to a ZIP file. When I recently unzipped the file and tried to open it, it wouldn't open. I tried my Mac and PC and even uploaded the files to OneNote on my OneDrive. Nothing worked. I tried your software. It found image files on my different pages but did nothing to fix or recover the structure to make it a Notebook again. The images without the verbiage and context don't do me any good. The recovery software failed to help my situation.

The problems were caused by Advanced Sytem Repair. The Software deleted a lot of information, setup paramteters of software, parts of the registry, the system recovery entries etc. It destroyed parts of outlook.exe as well.
Contacting the support was useless. Recovery toolbox worked perfectly on my pst.

I downloaded the source zipped pdf from the main server, unzipped it and tried to unzip it using your program and received a 14 error message. Today I used the licensed full copy and it fixed the problem. It must have been corrupted at the host server.

Outlook somehow saved its ost file as a copy, adding a (2) by the file name, during a routine file exit. On the next attempt to open, it couldn't find that file. I was able to find the file, but nothing worked to get it open with outlook. I tried renaming it to the file name that outlook was looking for, but it wouldn't open because it somehow didn't match... as if it was serialized and didnt have the right serial #... if that makes sense. The only way to fix the problem was to convert the ost file to a pst file... create a new outlook data file, and then import the pst file, to restore the info. And with your program, i was able to do that and get my outlook restored to original state.

My outlook email suddenly stopped working and when I was able to open it, my email data was gone.
In particular, all outgoing emails were gone.
I was very glad that I was able to recover the data.

No source files were damaged, We needed to convert some OST files to PST to import into an upgraded workstation.

Our previous version from 2012 was incompatible for our 2013 version of Outlook.

the main DB.mdf file was corrupted for a client, due to HDD failure. they were able to retrieve the .mdf files but it was corrupted

I had a large backup of of a pst file on a NAS. When I tried to access it Outlook 365 reported it was corrupted. Recovery Toolbox was able to repair it without ant losses.

No problem with a corrupted file, but changing back to an early version of Microsoft Office from 365 left me with some of my old Outlook data and emails in an OST file. Recovery Toolbox was able to convert this back to a usable PST file without any difficulty.

we had a user with a corrupted PST file in sharepoint. no idea why it got corrupted. but Recovery tool box was able to recover the file without issue.

I don't know the reason why my RAR is damaged.

All I remember is that when I made rar from my first computer and transferred it to a USB flash drive, the computer crashed and the file disappeared.
Then when I undo the operation, the file is back and can be opened and used on the first computer.
After the usb drive was transferred to the second computer, the RAR wouldn't open.

We use OneDrive as continuous backup . All are files are synchronized on real time while working. The PC had a windows crash (blu screen) while saving the last item inserted and it couldn’t finish the process before the crash. After the PC rebooted, the file was damaged.

It would seem some of the larger PDF image files were damaged due to a poor USB connection.

I needed to recover emails from an ost file that I realized too late could not be opened or imported by Outlook. Using your software I was able to easily recover these critical emails.

The file is on a file server and the file was open on a PC on the network. We had a power flicker but the PC that had the file open did not reboot, (the file server has a UPS) so we closed down the file and saved it. The next morning it would not open.

I had a DVD with many wrong files and impossible to install, I didn't think I could use it and instead with the Recovery Toolbox for CD it worked great! Thanks!

My word document, part of my Ph.D. dissertation got corrupted just as I was about to save it on the cloud. 2 days' worth of work...graphs, equations, a write-up... (I had not backed up all weekend...lesson learned) was about to be lost. I tried every method available and this is the only one that repaired and recovered my document. I have now re-saved and backed up that file!!! Thank you so much Recovery Toolbox!!! I can tell you I have learned my lesson.

I have supposed wrongly that imap files were stored both on the mail server and locally in Outlook files. After having suppressed my mail account I realized that I have lost all my imap files. Using a backup file I was able to find a .ost file where my files were stored. Using the recovery tools for Outlook, I was able to convert the .ost files into a .pst file that I was able to import inti Outlook.

The mysql.db table corrupted (not sure what actually corrupted). I was able to fully recover my database and rebuilt a new instance of mysql and reload my database.
So all goo.

I had the file open when my laptop froze. I was unable to use task manager to end the program (all apps were frozen) so I had to power off the machine.
When I rebooted and opened the project file, I began getting the 'not a project file' error. The recovery toolbox worked EXCEPT for the critical Task field.

Excellent tool. It happened like... A known brother of mine wanted to copy their marriage cd to usb. It was a very old one. Then we found there were scratches and blotches on the CD and it didn't work properly. Finally this tool RECOVERY TOOLBOX came in handy. I got it from a search and didn't have much hopes. However it worked like wonder and got us the corrupted files and did a very perfect recovery. Love this tool. A big blessing to oldies like us.

I am newly involved in a very old ERP system, it was developed on VB6 and with Access 97, I have not found why the databases are getting damaged, but it happens very often, I do not have the source code so I can only assume the database is not being properly written into.

At first, i thought this is a scam and my file wasn't recovered. But the Tech Support literally give me the recovered file via e-mail and it was AWESOME! I wish I could afford the personal license one day

May 2020 Verbatim DVD_R recorded in 2008 was partially more readable, thanks to your product I was able to recover 90% of Raid Orion video from 1972, copy of super 8 movie ... took a long time but great, I've tried many other things before - to no avail. I recommend !

One day, opening Outlook Express, the Inbox was suddenly found almost empty, while, before, there where stored thousands of mails. Everything else was OK, with new e-mails being regularly downloaded and stacked into the inbox folder. I was disapponted because my 5-years e-mail history was lost. However, looking at the .dbx files in my HD, I discovered that the inbox file was 1.3GB, despite it appeared almost empty to the mail client SW. So I suspected that a corruption happened and, hopefully, some recovery could be done. And in fact, thanks to the Recovery Toolbox, I've been able to recover almost 100% of the thousands e-mails from the corrupted .dbx file and get back to a normal situation. It took some time because the corrupted file was veeery big, but the process has been smooth and simple. The possibility given by the free trial to check if the messages and attachments can be effectively recovered is great. Then you can decide if to buy or not the license and do the full recovery process. Given the results, I'm happy because for a fair price I've resolved a big problem, and I have a great tool in my hands whenever something goes wrong again.

your product worked great! I have no idea how the file became corrupted, I was using the file and my operating system stopped responding. When I rebooted the computer, the file would not open and when excel tried to recover it, the spreadsheet was completely empty. I opened the excel file as a zip file and I could see in the xml that the sheet was there, but the xml cuts off about half way into the file. The strings from the second half of the file were also missing from the xml that stores the strings. your product recovered the part of the spreadsheet that was still there (I don't think it would have been possible to recover the other part because I don't think the data was even there anymore) and luckily I had a backup of the part that was missing.

We believe the Database was corrupted by loss of power.

I support some seniors in a residence. One of them had the problem, that Outlook stops within actualization. So he always had to shut down the laptop and start again. Microsoft gives some help information and the last suggestion was to delete the profile and create a new one. That works, but all information of calendar and contacts were lost. The old .ost file couldn't be opened anymore. Then I googled for the problem and find the recovery tool. It works, thanks.

Basically all appointments, emails and contacts have been successfully restored. However, the contact groups were empty. In no way did I manage to restore the group.

Well it is a little interesting on how it occurred. I have the Dropbox App on my computer, I signed into it as I have an account. All my folders and files started to sync with Dropbox and a ton of them disappeared. For some dumb reason I had just ran CCleaner. We did recover the files but they were all as you guys see them.

Hello. My wife spilled a cup of tea on her Lenovo laptop. After that, unfortunately, nothing came of it. So I removed the SSD hard drive and tried to save some data, which I pretty much succeeded in. Failed to process only Outlook Ost files. Then I came across your program. Thanks to this, I was able to convert the entire ost file to a pst file. All calendar dates since 2000 have been saved. Thus, the purchase of your program has paid off.

I didn't think my OST was damaged; just disconnected. However, my first attempt at simply exporting to PST yielded an empty PST file. I chose to repair/recover. Note: my OST was 44GB and the recovery took 24 hours! This was on an SSD. Neither CPU nor disk was a bottleneck so plan some time for large OST files! Hard to tell if 100% of my data was recovered but 100% of what I needed was. Money well spent.

in order to save mails and contacts from a really old PC with Outlook
Express(!) installed, I temporarily installed Outlook 2010 on it, as I wanted to import the Outlook Express mails and contacts into a PST file.
After some hours the import was completed, and I had an about 2,1 GB PST file.

However, Outlook 2010 on the old PC and Outlook 2019 on the new PC could not open this PST file, and several iterations of Microsoft´s "scanpst.exe" did not solve the problem.

So I used your recovery toolbox, it could successfully repair the PST file, and Outlook 2019 was able to open it... :-)

I had backed up various .ost files for Outlook, but could not migrate them to my new computer. I was able to restore them with Recovery Toolbox by easily converting them to .pst format.

Cannot open Outlook by sending too large image

Trying to recover about a dozen large JPEGs in one specific folder from a CD-R. I had managed to copy the bulk of 100's of images to my hard drive but I really wanted these ones. These images wouldn't copy and took too long to open in explorer or Irfanview. The thumbnails looked OK though.
After about 20 hours of trying, recovery toolbox "saved" the full sized selected files, showing thumbnails but the full sizes were all sliced and smeared.

I have a Mac Pro, with a with a V. image drive drive created for Windows 7. accessible through Parallels inter phase.
I’m using MS Office 2010 with Access Database. Both Mac and Windows side of the computer are housed on a 1TB SSD as the main source of data storage.

After doing an auto update on “Windows MS Office” in Nov 2017, I opened Access DB and got a shot banner statement indicating the Database was unstable, only flashed for 15 seconds or so.

I opened the DB and it converted all of my DB and quires from .MDB to .ACCDB and have not been able to access any files since.

As far as I know the original .MDB were created in 1998-2002. I used 2010 Access without issues for 3 year until the recent update by MS Office.

Recovery ToolBoox for Ai, was an excellent and unique option for taking care of a corrupted AI FILE, their tech support where fast and very helpfull, don't doub it.

in my initial cotact/report yesterday, I have already mentioned that the DB (MS Access) crashed while a power outage!
After restarting the PC and the Access DB, the mentioned error is displayed and the DB was not usable anymore.

My PSD file was damaged after my HP laptop crashed while the file was open in Photoshop CC because of VIDEO_MEMORY_MANAGEMENT_INTERNAL. Those crashes have started to happen periodically and usually cause the computer to restart with no other noticeable damage (except for one PSD file which got corrupted). I have yet to have the time to contact HP or Windows 10 team in regard of the cause of these crash.

Ransomeware attacked my computer

I was managing a very large mailbox (morethan 15000 messages), moving messages into other subfolders. I was using the search tool to select specific messages and moving them from there. While doing so, Outlook Express hung and I had to shut it down and restart it. After that, most messages in the large mailbox were no longer there.

We're not sure what happened. My husband is a teacher and works from the files on a flash drive. Last September he could no longer access this file. It is a PowerPoint file for his entire Government course. It took him months to create this file and he is desperate to recover the file. I recently backed up all his other files for him so this wouldn't happen to any of the other files on the flash drive.

Thank you for your interest in respect to the damaged excel file. I created that (rather large) file with Microsoft Excel office 2000 using Windows XP. It is not the first time that it had occurred. In all those cases I did not save the file onto my computer, but saved it directly onto the external memory device (Seagate). The error did never occur if I saved onto my computer. The next day, when I tried to open the file the error message “not enough memory” popped up. It was impossible to open (renaming the file didn’t help). With recovery toolbox I was able to recover the data (data of the past day were complete, older data not). Fortunately I had older saved versions and could recover the entire document at the end.

Windows 10 crash. Partly corrupted hard drive and need to upgrade to 365 (2016). Archive files did not "close" properly and fix helped recover all of it.

Unfortunately, I haven’t the slightest idea how the files became damaged, except that the source of the damage was clearly a .dotm file in Word 2016. There actually weren’t any macros in the .dotm file; I’m just in the habit of using them, instead of .dotx in case I might want to include macros in the future. I’m quickly learning that that’s not such a good idea since it appears that .dotm file get corrupted much more quickly in Word 2016. (I’ve used them for years in prior versions of Word with no problem.)

Anyway, Recovery Toolbox got the text of the file back but lost all formatting, including tables. I guess that’s the best that can be expected when the source is a template. Unfortunately, the .dotm file is, apparently, inrecoverable.

Due to an error by a young technician who didn’t understand what he was doing, my Exchange Account was accidentally removed and all data was lost. Fortunately, your tool enabled me recover all of my personal data from my OST file.

I wish I knew how they were damaged. It was working one day, I saved it and closed out and the next day I tried to open it and it wouldn't open. It tries to open every time but instead of opening the file just closes. I have been able to get it to open two times since this happened and each time after about a minute it has crashed Illustrator and then I can't get it to open again.

The file is share in a qnap server. I use Mac and PC to edit the file.... maybe was the problem.

I believe the files were damaged as I just installed windows 10, and had to do a hard boot as it would not shut down and I could not tell what program was keeping it from shutting down. I believe it was Outlook, because that is what got damaged.

But I'm pretty sure I know why I got the trouble, it seems that when a dbx file reach a size some over 1 Gb, it just stop working.
And Microsoft have no tools or fix for this.
